How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign works through a series of clear aligners, each set of which are changed out every one to two weeks, depending on your treatment needs. Over time, these nearly invisible aligners gently move your teeth to their ideal position. The process of preparing for Invisalign treatment is simple. We capture digital images and impressions of your teeth, from which our lab creates your custom-made clear aligners. Aligners are worn for 22 hours each day, and only removed when eating, drinking, brushing and flossing. To monitor your treatment progress, we schedule Invisalign appointments in our office every six to eight weeks. Total treatment times vary among Austin, TX, patients, but typically last between nine and 15 months.
